Educational Performances

Child Care Centres, Preschool, Primary and High Schools
Baala Baajo offers a fantastic African cultural experience, with vibrant rhythms and lots of student involvement, for a range of age groups, from preschool to high school. A Baala Baajo performance is a fun, lively and interactive culturally diverse musical experience, which assists children to respect and value differences.

Students, teachers and community members have been consulted in the development of Baala Baajo's educational programs. Teachers and early childhood educators receive a set of comprehensive notes with each confirmed performance. These notes include:
• information about Ghana and Ghanaian culture
• art and craft ideas
• recipes
• book and music reference list

A Baala Baajo performance touches on the following areas of the school curriculum:
• Music and dance
• LOTE (Languages other than English)
• SOSE (Studies of Society and Environment)

Baala Baajo has:
• a valid Working with Children Card (Blue Card) issued by the Commission for Children, Young People and Child Guardian.
